Traveller 5 Training Update
Thank you to everyone who applied for the training day at Rush.
We have passed your details on to the club who will be in touch with you at some point and will let you know as to whether you have been allocated a slot.
Should any more places become available, these will be booked directly with the club. We will provide a contact email for booking when it becomes available.
Traveller 5 Training
Race coaching at Rush Sailing Club. A limited number of coaching places have become available at Rush on Saturday 8th September prior to the Traveller on the Sunday. The cost is 20 Euro per sailor. If you are interested please send the sailor name, contact phone number and sail size (4.2/5.3) to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Your details will be forwarded on to the club, and you will be notified accordingly as to whether there is a slot for you. The places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Topper Traveller 5
Final ITCA(IRL) event of the season.
Sunday 9th September sees the last event in our 2018 calendar with a Traveller at Rush Sailing Club. Overall prizes (based on rankings) for the seasons events also will be determined and awarded at the event. NOR and current overall rankings will be posted soon.
In addition, we are also hoping to run a short AGM in the afternoon before prize giving. Looking forward to seeing everyone and a chance to say goodbye and good luck to those sailors transitioning on to other boats.
Topper Traveller 4
Topper Traveller 4 at Carrickfergus Sailing Club. We are just over a week away from our fourth Traveller event of the season. This year the introduction of a Regatta fleet which is aimed first-time racers who have not competed outside their club but wish to try competitive racing on a larger scale, but not in the main Topper fleets will continue. The RYA will be running a training day on the Saturday (online registration only) which is aimed at all skill levels. Hope to see everyone there for what looks to be a great event.

Topper Traveller 2
Topper Traveller 2 at Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club. We are just over a week away from our first Traveller event of the season (the first one being rescheduled). This year sees the introduction of a Regatta fleet which is aimed first-time racers who have not competed outside their club but wish to try competitive racing on a larger scale, but not in the main Topper fleets. As usual, the RYA will be running a training day on the Saturday (online registration only) which is aimed at all skill levels. Hope to see a great turnout now that Spring has finally arrived.
Open Pathway Training 28th April
There is Open pathway training prior to Traveller 2 at RNIYC, being run by RYA Northern Ireland. This training is now open online.

The results for the Winter Regatta at Killyleagh Yacht Club are now online.
Rescheduled Date for Winter Regatta
The Winter Regatta will now be held on the 10/11th March. Again we would ask that all sailors who are thinking of going, please register their interest on the button below (Just name and Rig Size) in order to help the club determine the number approximate numbers for RIB cover.
Winter Regatta at Killyleagh cancelled
Due to adverse weather conditions, we have had to cancel the Winter Regatta (3-4 March) at Killyleagh Yacht Club. The club has offered alternative dates in March, so we will try to reschedule the event as soon as possible.

Latest News - Nov 2017
The calendar of events for 2018 is now available. There are still one or two dates to be sorted but the majority of the venues have been confirmed. Included for the first time is a new Sprint Weekend (more information to follow as the details are finalised) and as usual, we will have our successful race coaching program on the Saturday prior to the Travellers.
Looking forward to another exciting year in 2018 and a big welcome to the new committee members who have stepped up to help make this such a successful class.
Traveller 5 will be held at Carrickfergus Sailing Club
The final traveller of the season will be held at Carrickfergus SC on Sunday 3rd August with a training day on the Saturday 2nd. For more information please go to the CSC event page.

Three exciting events will be held over April, these include Traveller at CAYC, ISA Youth Nationals at Ballyholme and a Traveller at Rush at the end of the month.
Topper Race Coaching 2017 in the North
This year the RYANI are running a series of Topper Race Coaching sessions in the North as part of their Open Pathway scheme. Two of the 1-day sessions have been scheduled to occur the day before a Traveller event (CAYC and CSC). The other two sessions are 3-day coaching events and have been scheduled prior to the Topper Irish Nationals at East Antrim Boat Club, and one later in the summer at Newcastle Yacht Club, just prior to the British nationals.
The training sessions are open to all (IRL, GB) and a small discount is available if you have an RYA membership.

ISA Youth Pathway Championships
The ISA Youth Pathway Championships will commence on the 20th April 2017 at Ballyholme Yacht Club. For more information and entry go to the ISA website.

The start of the 2017 Topper season kicks off at the start of February with the introduction of the first ever ITCA(IRL) Winter Regatta, this year being hosted by RCYC.

The recheduled 5th Traveller of the season will take place at Killyleagh Yacht Club this Sunday the 2nd October. Entry form, SI and NOR are available on the club website.

The Topper Munsters will take place on the 27/28 August at Kinsale YC. More information is available on the club website.

Upcoming Training Events
Registration is now open for the next two training events. The first training event is at Skerries SC on 16/17 June and the next session is pre- nationals at RCYC on 27/28/29 June. (accomodation with parents for the RCYC Session may be available).
Traveller 4 at CSC
The 4th Traveller of the season will take place at Carrickfergus Sailing Club this Sunday the 29th May. Online registration and information about the event is now available on the club website.
Registration for the Topper Ulsters on the 21/22 May is now open. SAILORS MUST REGISTER PRIOR TO THE EVENT to guarantee a place. It may also be possible to register on the day if numbers and weather conditions permit, but it is not guaranteed.
Note - payment for the event is made on the day.

Anyone who has applied for the course will soon receive an email indicating if they have been allocated a place or put on the reserve list. Places may be opened up if anyone drops out or another coach is sourced.
